Description
The Corona Virus has been in existence long enough to be argued upon, however, the virus gave birth to a new strand which brings forth the disease Covid-19. It locks down many nations and disrupt economies which will show a high negative effects at the long run especially those nations whose major source of revenue suited along one sector e.g. the Petroleum sector and without pity, it cripples such economies and set them some centuries back. Should we rather allow this happen? What then is the way forward?
Many years back, Agriculture was the bed rock of development and spending (Capital and Recurrent) however, reverse is the case now. Nations now focus keenly on Oil; possibly, they have forgotten that the deposits (fossils) can reduce greatly in size and even get completely finished. What then will be such nation’s faith?
Some patriotic youths saw this long ago, raised their voices but their perspective was never heard; instead, it was seen as an agenda to overthrow the government. When will the voices of the youths be heard and their perspectives viewed? Now Covid-19 is around and citizens are uncomfortable from the different strict measures laid down by the authorities without sufficient palliatives. How about some youths, married with kids who fed for their families on a daily income made? How will they survive the lock down? They live in agony and sadness fills their heart deep
but still, their perspectives are yet to be seen.
A season stands constant and the rain is a blessing to mankind. It brings the joy within at every drop and the lashes produce soothing rhythms for our tiring souls. It brings other benefits which we call the “Green” The green stands for agriculture.
The green, the field and the farmer, saving mankind from extinction, since creation. Agriculture bring food security and it strives in the presence of the virus. Only if a smart government have seen the future, they would do and give anything to see agriculture survive and succeed in their countries. In the intense presence of the Corona Virus, many more products may be rejected by nations but, agriculture will stand the test of time now and beyond.
Agriculture is now and the then!
See the future with the virus still!
Let’s all go to the farm!
Learn and adjust accordingly
